"Will you be mine?"

Valentine's Day is such a weird holiday. I, for one, haven't participated in the typical manner since elementary school when we got to make 'mail boxes' for our desks. (Those were the days.) Since then it's a day to be depressed, vengeful, bitter, confused, hopeful...

It's funny. No matter how remote the chance (and trust me, the chances are remote) I find myself hoping to come home to flowers or find a valentine on my car. I never have, and that's fine... but that's the funny stuff V Day does to us.

So this year, I'm going to write love on my arm and do my best to share the love with the people around me and do my best to bask in the perfect, completing love that God shares with me.

So, I guess what I am getting at is this: We are not alone. We'll never be alone. Whether you're married, engaged, dating or perpetually single there is someone who cares about you. It might be your mom, a friend at work or a remarkably friendly barista at Peet's but it's always God.
