I spent several days in Phoenix (<- always looks spelled wrong to me!) visiting with Jason (my cousin) and his kids. It was really nice to spend time with family and to get to know Jason and his children as people, as opposed to peripheral family members. It had been about 3 years since I had seen them last. Oh how life races by!
I picked Annabelle (left) up from school a couple days last week and spent the afternoons with her. It was exhausting, but so fun! The life of an energetic seven year old is exciting!
Come to think of it... I came to visit and Jason had be baby-sitting and cooking... hmm...
The four of us went to church on Resurrection Sunday... it was interesting to say the least. Never before have I been to a Christian church that never once during the sermon used actual Biblical scripture. My Bible sat unused in my lap. On Easter. Wow. I left feeling alarmed and kind of offended. Let down by my fellow believers.
I had a really nice time in Phoenix with Jason and got to spend some time with Kat and Robert, but I am really glad to have moved on from there. I am tired of the suburban sprawl.
Oh. I forgot to mention. I had coffee at a small health food place last week down the street from Jason's house. Their iced coffee and tea came in two sizes: 20 oz and 32 oz. OMG. A 32 oz latte. Insane.
