Some things (this is a pointless entry):

Dalene and I bought sweet headband things like the one she brought home from Austraila to wear on our road trip. They are hecka awesome and the seller on etsy is super nice and sent us a free one. You should buy one too: http://scarletterosefairy.etsy.com

Dalene is back in business! She is renting a chair in a salon in downtown Livermore. Today was her first day and she gave me my best haircut yet! It's sort of a faux bob. Agyness and P!nk are sure to follow.

This is the first week of intensive (sort of) Bible study with the girls. We decided to ramp it up for fall with a Beth Moore study on the book of Daniel. So far it is amazing. I read through the book (of the Bible not the study) before we started. It got me thinking about 'Daniel's diet' and how I'd like to try it... but maybe not really. I would die of starvation since I don't like vegetables. I've decided to try eating vegan for the duration of the study as sort of a fast, but I am failing somewhat miserably. I've been thinking about writing a blog about my experience with attempting Daniel's diet... but that sort of ruins the whole point of fasting. You're not supposed to tell anyone. (Whoops. No one reads this though, right?) So. Look for an upcoming entry on my failures as a faster.

I just watched Sisterhood of the Traveling pants. Here is what I thought:
- I am so glad I have awesome girlfriends
- Why didn't anyone tell me this movie was SAD??
- I'd like to go to Greece and be saved from drowning by a handsome man that owns a boat
- Do I have mascara all over my face? (the answer was yes. ALL over.)

(photobooth photos are amazingly unflattering. Or is it that I just cried through a movie? Anyway, this is my awesome headwrap/dreadwrap/thing...)

Dear Men of the World,

Please dress like this:

Love,
Casey

Agyness wants to be me

So, either Agyness is stalking my Facebook page, or we're twins seperated at birth. This is just weird.

Love and Sparkles

Let's try this again.

This is the sweet headband that I made. It took about 5 minutes and cost a grand total of about $2.36 and it gets quite a few comments from Peet's customers. I think it was well worth the investment.

Oh Chanel, how do I love thee? Let me count the ways...

I love Chanel. I love how iconic the brand is and how well Karl pays homage to Coco Chanel, but keeps the line fresh and exciting.

Will someone please buy me a Chanel bag? Thanks.

Sasha P., oh how I love her. She is everything a fashion model should be... and so nice!

I need this for taking my laptop to Peet's!

A fashionista's essentials!! Love this!!

DSquared2 effing Rules my Life

I love DSquared2. I secretly believe Dean and Dan use me as their muse, but that's another story.

The last couple seasons haven't been their best, but Fall 09! Wow! Their best yet. And so clever! I'm sorry but the gossip rags and Starbucks cups are the most brilliant gimmick yet. Thanks, D&D.

I'm glad I randomly held onto my Abercrombie jean skirt c. 2004 when I cleaned out my closet last week!

Next time I am invited to a black tie event, this is what I am wearing!

The Recession Rears it's Ugly Head

Welp, yesterday the recession slapped me in the face- I lost my job. Time to hit the ground running and find something else asap! If you, or someone you know has any connections in LA or Orange County, shoot me an email and help a sister out!!

Spotted: Helena Christensen

Shane & Nikki took me to lunch at the cafe in American Rag in 3rd today, so delicious. We sat on the sidewalk and had a really nice time catching up on life and the wedding. When we get up to go I noticed Helena Christensen sitting a few tables down from us. Awesome!! Her eyes are amazing, but she was disappointingly leathery... must be all the tanning and smoking...

I love seeing famous people. Especially when they are fashion peeps. Thanks West Hollywood and Shane & Nikki!

Beverly Hills: Pros and Cons

So I had to go to Beverly Hills for a road appointment today. (Road appointment: think Avon Lady but with a rolling rack with a body bag hanging on it.)

It is nice to get out and it breaks up the day... but it's a gigantic pain. I spent most of the time going over the pros and cons in my head. I should have emailed them to myself, but who has time for that?

Pros:
- Being in Beverly Hills on a major shopping street during the day on a weekday exponentially increases one's chances of seeing a celebrity. I love celebrities.

- Cruising with the windows down and the radio up on Robertson Avenue during office hours on a beautiful day. Gotta love that.

- The abundance of coffee shops makes a pit stop inevitable. (Thanks Peet's!)

- Beverly Hills = $$$ ... seeing people rolling in Bentleys and Lamborghini's gives me a) hope that I may one day roll in a G Wagon and b) that at least someone has money.

- Did I mention the high chance of seeing someone famous? Cause that's a good one.

Cons:

- Not actually seeing anyone famous. Ugh.

- Did I mention the body bag on the rolling rack? Picture that... now picture me trying to get it all out of my car. On a slant in a parking garage. Next to a $200K car.

- Being the only one on the street that is working... and sweating... and rolling a body bag. (This is a pro on one count- the homeless people didn't ask me for money. There were two of them. Hey, if I was homeless you better believe I'd be panhandling in the richest part of town!)

- Going back to work.

A Tip

Short girls should not wear tall flat boots. Period.

Spotted: Danny Masterson aka Steven Hyde

Danny Masterson owns a rad boutique down the street from my place called Confederacy. It is definitely the best store I have seen in LA so far... and I have seen my fair share.

Anyway, we stopped in today after chowing down in some Pinkberry. They are having a Rebecca Minkoff sample sale, so it was pretty busy. I looked around for Danny... Didn't see him.

We went into the other building (menswear/ bags/ shoes/ sample sale) and there he was!! Woo! Exciting! I walked past him (he was between me and the shoes!) and he said hello and told me he likes my hair. Yes!

Then I texted my mom.

Casey + Mandy = Best Friends Forever

So our showroom reps Mblem by Mandy Moore... So we all knew we would eventually meet her.

Se came in this week, looking a little tired (she had been with DJ AM in Georga or something)... I got nervous as she walked in thinking "OMG, OMG, play it cool, play it cool..."

Thankfully, I succeeded. She and her manager, John, introduced themselves to all of us individually (more than most of the designers do when they come in!). She was so nice!! I, like, love her even more now! She was friendly and you could tell she was really just a nice person. She didn't act like a famous actress/singer at all.

Mandy is so normal! She wasn't wearing much makeup and is build about like me. Same height, same size. Sweet. BFF's for sure.

I look forward to seeing her again!

(I loved her hair short!)

Reality Show Mania

So I went to Project in Las Vegas this week (it's a contemporary fashion trade show).. it was a lot of work, and I'm exhausted... and I saw so many reality tv people!!

Here's the roster:

Jarrel from Project Runway, Lauren Conrad, Whitney Port, Jeff from America's Most Smartest Model, Nicky Hilton, Tara Reed, Erin and Janell from Sunset Tan.

Crazy! It was like I was IN a TV!

More later!

J'adore Dior Couture

If I had my choice of couture to wear ( a girl can dream, can't she?) I would choose Christian Dior. Oh, how I love the ladylike silhouettes (the New Look!) and the yards and yards of sculpted fabric. Each season is built off the last- each season makes sense based on the last. It's avant garde, but perfectly sensible and modern.

John Galliano, I could kiss you.
